Cooking Smashburgers with Archit | MUJI Community Learning

MUJI Community Learning | @architlost shares some recipes to help us get through the lockdown better.
A hearty meal of champions! These Smashburgers are the epitome of simplicity. Ground red meat of your choice (my country made the choice for me — Lamb), made into 60 gram balls (~2ounces) which are then propped onto a hot skillet and then smashed down to create a beautiful crust that holds all the juices inside the patty while adding texture to an otherwise very mealy treatment of protein. THIS is the only way to make a good burger. So go ahead and make these amazing burgers!

Papercraft Workshop | Anshika, Natasha & Nivedita

Posted: 6 Mar, 2020

Basic RGB

Impressions of empathetic yarns, leave an indelible print on coarse crispness of yellowed papers. Making each of those tinted in memories of time.

Anshika, a fashion design student who seems to seldom question the day to day dealings. However, if unraveled deeper, her emotive self translates from various yarns and textures and draws meaning from mundane proceedings of a normal life.

Nivedita is a promising fashion and textile designer who has questioned the mere singularity of the fashion diaspora and has been able to look at textile way beyond the yarns and threads. Looking patterns and identifying the larger research at heart, she challenge every way forward.

Natasha is a crazy soul who likes to doodle on the back of her notebook, loves to paint and add colour to her sunsets. She likes to create endless stories through yarns. Music is an essential part of her life and she won’t mind moving her feet along the beats.

What is a Mandala?
Well it has many interpretations. The most common one, being a circle or a chakra with different meanings in artistic, religious and spiritual contexts. For @inkthetics, Mandalas symbolise the idea of everything being connected and coming together as one. They stand for never ending life, wholeness and harmony within oneself and the universe. Welcome to modern meditation!

Register for the workshop and:

– Learn to draw simple Mandala patterns
– Explore Mandala miniatures on post-its
– Develop your own Mandala from a basic outline
– Add a splash of colour to Mandalas

Once you’re done, take them home to use as gift tags, note-cards and fridge art, or send them out as postcards to the universe!
